Please take time to read the following reminders to ensure your security from any unauthorized use of your credit card.

  • Treat your card like cash.
  • Sign your credit card as soon as you receive it. Cut your old credit card upon receipt of your renewal card.
  • Always keep your credit card secure in your wallet or handbag when not in use.
  • Memorize your Personal Identification Number (PIN). If you decide to write it down, keep it in a safe place and never together with your credit card.
  •  Do not disclose your PIN to anyone nor authorize anyone to do transactions on your behalf, specially for cash advances or ATM transactions.
  • When using your credit card, ensure that the cashier/salesperson processes your transactions within right.

  • Check your credit card when it is returned to you by the cashier to ensure that it is yours and that it has not been tampered with. If you notice any irregularities, report them immediately. 
  • Review statements of account as they arrive. If unfamiliar transactions are posted, report them immediately.
  • In case your credit card is lost or stolen, please report the loss immediately by calling MCC's 24-hour Customer Service at 8-700-700. Save this phone number on your mobile phone for easy retrieval.
  • Never reveal your credit card information to anyone,not even in exchange for free waivers or other perks. Do not provide a photocopy of your credit card nor disclose the 3-digit code at the back of your card to anyone. Fraudulent transactions occur when cardholders are deceived into revealing their credit card information. MCC will not ask for this information since we have these on record. If you receive any suspicious calls, report them immediately by calling MCC's 24-hour Customer Service at 8-700-700.

  • Never surrender your card to any person. MCC will not require you to surrender your card for purposes of increasing your limit or converting to another card type. If any incident warrants that MCC will require you to surrender your credit card, please cut the card before surrendering.

  • MCC monitors your credit card transactions 24/7. If any unusual activity on your credit card is noted, we will contact you to verify your transactions. If you cannot be contacted, MCC may decide to block your credit card until you are located. Please make sure that you contact details on record, specially your mobile phone number, are updated.

  • Before traveling overseas, it is advisable that you let us know that you will be out of the country and to update us of your contact details while travelling. If any suspicious activity on your credit card is detected, one of MCC's Fraud Analysts may call you to verify your transactions. If you cannot be contacted, MCC may decide to block your credit card until you are located.

  • Before using credit card for internet transactions you may enable your card with these Secure Online Shopping services that require a password and thus help prevent unauthorized transactions. Call MCC's Secure Online Shopping (SOS) hotline at 8700-920 to enroll.
