QCinema International Film Festival 2014

Don't miss the QCinema International  Film Festival. This year, moviegoers will have more exciting flicks to look forward to with the Quezon City Film Festival. Opening on November 5, 10:30 a.m, at the Trinoma Cinemas. The film festival will run through November 11, 2014. QCinema will feature an impressive lineup of local, documentary, and international films. Tickets are priced at P100.00.

Now its second year, the Quezon City government makes a huge upgrade with its new edition of QCinema International Film Festival which will run from November 5 to 11 at Trinoma Mall. The non-stop fun for cinephiles and movie enthusiasts is just around the corner with the number of film festivals to grace theaters on the coming days including Sineng Pambansa Horror Plus Film Festival and Cinema One Originals Festival.
In celebration of the ever-growing film industry and in line with the city’s nickname “City of the Stars”, QCinema 2014 goes with the theme “From Flashback to Fast Forward”.

The lineup of the entries for QCinema’s Circle Competition includes both feature and documentary films.
  • Tres (directed by William Mayo, Edgardo Vinarao & Jose Carreon)
  • 1st Ko si 3rd (directed by Real Florido)
  • Cemetery Life (directed by Barbara Politsch)
  • Nick and Chai (directed by Cha Escala & Wena Sanchez)
  • Tigbao (directed by M. Bonifacio)
  • Little Azkals (directed by Baby Ruth Villarama)
  • Mauban – Ang Resiko (directed by Lem Lorca)
  • In Darkness We Live (directed by Chris Castillo)
  • Ang Di Paglimot ng mga Alaala (directed by Carl Joseph Papa)
  • Bigkis (directed by Neal Tan)
Among these 10 entires, five of them are the recipients of the post-production grants from the Quezon Ctiy Film Development Commission (QCFDC). These films are namely “Tres”, “1st Ko si 3rd”, “Cemetery Life”, “Nick and Chai” and “Tigbao”.
